The customer contacted us because their water heater had been in service for more than 12 years and had reached the end of its lifespan. During removal, we discovered that the previous installation had been done improperly. Several connections had been poorly soldered, leading to significant corrosion that was close to causing major leaks.
What we did:
- Installed a new 75-gallon water heater.
- Completely replaced the cold water, hot water, and recirculation lines.
- Upgraded the piping to high-quality Type L copper.
- Assembled all connections using reliable ProPress fittings, eliminating the need for open-flame soldering.
- Installed new ball valves and retained the existing recirculation pump, which was still in good working condition.
- Pressure-tested the entire system to ensure optimal performance.

The system is now operating flawlessly with stable water pressure, consistent hot water delivery, and zero leaks.
